As our website becomes our sole sales tool, how can we make it look trustworthy, be super functional, but also evoke a warm, welcoming feeling?
Günamüna offer an assortment of high end, super comfortable baby sleep products that lean heavily on their usability. That’s one of the reasons I was intrigued to work with them. Most of their products have a patented super zipper, quick and easy snaps, and easy access foot and arm holes that make parents’ (and babies’) lives easier.
In the midst of a total rebrand, I was tasked to create a new website for a better user experience, better functionality and reflect new messaging. I created a high end and trustworthy feel, but also kept a warm, cozy, approachable feel. Günamüna leans on their usability of their products, so we focused on that as well as safety and comfort. With these improvements, we hope to increase conversions and ultimately develop repeat customers and establish Günamüna as the go-to clothing brand in the baby sleep space.
A Balancing Act
One of the challenges was striking a balance between serious and trustworthy and also approachable and cozy. Another challenge was to communicate all the information we wanted the user to know. The information that bubbled to the top was safety, softness, certifications, high end, and also the amount of products in the line.We communicated these items throughout the homepage and the PDP predominantly. We found that parents struggled to know which size to get as well as which “TOG” (weight) of the product they should get. We’ve now organized the information architecture of the products and have made the selection path more clear. The task of selecting the product variants are now all within one PDP per product (color, size, and weight). Each of the variants have enough contextual information for the user now to make an informed decision.
A Nü Günamüna
With new branding, Günamüna needed a place to introduce themselves to the world. I created a robust homepage to launch a new era for them. The homepage allows Günamüna to tell their story, but in a new, exciting way with better organized information and beautiful new imagery, iconography, and other brand elements. In addition to the homepage development, with new branding, new shop flows and subsequent other web pages, Günamüna has transformed into feeling like the go-to leader in the baby sleep product industry.
